TITANIC (1997) 1st Class Dinning Room Door Replica Insert grill made from a replicated design of the aft doors from the movie set which were slightly different than those seen at the forward grand staircase end of the room. (This one is a replica and not actually from the movie set) These style of doors can be seen clearly in the deleted scenes of the movie and are made from the same spec/material as was in the movie. Compressed MDF wood painted to look like wrought iron with gold painted plaster insets. Measures approx 51"x22" and is approx 0.5" thick. As these were made from wood in the movie many did where destroyed or badly damaged during the repeated sinking of the set and an intact original today sells for approx $3,000! Note that actual grills on baord the real Titanic are a slightly different design and were made from bronze. This was noted at the time however the set designers did some things differently therefore ignoring accuracy and historians in some parts but they overall still did an amazing job!
