INTRODUCTION

Xpoit.com takes your privacy seriously. You may browse the Xpoit.com website anonymously and without disclosing any information about yourself, however once you register with Xpoit.com you automatically agree to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy and may no longer be anonymous to us.

Xpoit.com does not sell or rent any personally identifiable information collected from or submitted by its users.

We need some of your information so we can identify our users when needed and also so we can create separate user accounts. Some information you submit on the registration page will be displayed on your user profile page (Please note that this page is accessible by both registered and non registered users and you should choose what information you wish to submit to the site carefully). A username is required on registration so you can become identifiable on the site to yourself, us and other users, however your name and surname nor your password will be displayed to any other user.

We may from time to time aggregate non-personally identifiable information collected from and by you such as your age, gender, and information from your cookies or IP Address to create statistical information for our site. Such information could show us what age group mostly uses our site, what country most users are from and such information from cookies that will allow us to better the website for certain browsers and users. We may need to share such statistical information to third parties in order to develop and/or better serve our website and/or users.

We may from time to time share such statistical information with our advertisers and/or with companies running promotions or competitions on our site to help bring suitable promotions, prizes and advertisements to our site, which may be of particular interest to some of our users. We reserve the right to transfer any personal identifiable information submitted by you or collected automatically and all information and content uploaded by you in the event of a transfer of ownership of Xpoit.com, such as the purchase of Xpoit.com by another company and/or the merging of Xpoit.com with another company. Such a transfer may but is not obligated to be posted at a suitable location on the Xpoit.com website however we may also contact you before such an event as a notification to you.

COOKIES

Xpoit.com like many other websites uses Cookies, these are small files that are placed on your computer hard drive and are used only to monitor usage and help create a user-friendly site. You can disable cookies through your Internet browser settings but may find that certain websites and parts of websites will not function properly if disabled. Xpoit.com will not and does not use Cookies to find out any personally identifiable information or do we currently access any information stored via cookies. Xpoit.com also does not currently use web beacons/clear gifs but may choose to do so in the future.

TELL A FRIEND

In the event of Xpoit.com adding a referral program to our website and you choosing to use such a referral program, we will ask you for basic information on your friend such as your friends name and email address. Such information will be used to send a one-time invitation email to your friend and then maybe stored for this purpose and the purpose of tracking the success of such a program. We will however only require this information if you choose to tell a friend, we will not ask you to do so!

ADVERTISEMENTS AND EXTERNAL LINKS

By clicking on an advertisement or external link displayed on the Xpoit.com website you are clicking away from the Xpoit.com website and into a third party site. Many of these sites will have their own User Agreements and Privacy Policies and Xpoit.com is not responsible in any way for these therefore we do ask you to be careful and read any User Agreements or Privacy Policies of such external sites.

UPDATING AND DELETING INFORMATION

As a registered user on Xpoit.com you can add, update or delete any information in your account as and when you wish apart from your username.

CLOSING YOUR ACCOUNT

To close your account please email info@xpoit.com with a subject line stating “ACCOUNT CLOSURE REQUEST” and we will close and delete all content uploaded via your account as soon as we can.

PUBLIC ACCESSIBLE AREAS

Some sections of the Xpoit.com website are accessible and viewable by the public such as your user profile page, item listing pages and any associated message boards on these pages. Posting personal or contactable information in these areas will be accessible by other people and may result in you or the person whose information has been posted here recieving unsolicited mail. We therefore ask all users to carefully think about what information they post in such areas and exercise caution in doing so as such information may remain indefinitely in that publicly accessible area of the site.

Your username will be displayed throughout the site if you upload any items to Xpoit.com or leave a comment on an item or post a message on another users profile page. As a result other users registered or not can see and click your username on such areas to view your user profile page and all messages or posts will have your username associated and shown beside those particular posts.

Such public areas maybe indexed by search engines and therefore searchable through those search engines.

In the event that you post or someone posts personal information on you in such a publicly accessible area and you wish to have this removed please contact us via email with full details of the information, page and the reasons for wanting this removed.

You are solely responsible for any personally identifiable information you disclose and disseminate on any publicly accessible areas of the Xpoit.com website.

SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

Xpoit.com uses a number of basic safeguards to keep your information secure and confidential however we cannot and can never guarantee that any information you submit will be 100% safe as we cannot guarantee or that no unforeseeable and/or illegal action may occur in which event you must agree that there may be circumstances in which your information is accessed by unlawfully by unauthorised persons. An example of such a circumstance could be hacking of a user account and/or the entire site or server it’s hosted on. You should therefore not expect your information to always remain private and confidential, as it is impossible for us to promise or guarantee such a degree of security.

Under no circumstances should any user disclose their login details to anyone else. The safekeeping of your login details is your responsibility; remember you are responsible for all actions taken in and under your account name. TRADING, BUYING AND SELLING

Xpoit.com is in no way an online shop, merchant or reseller and only gives users a basic platform on which to show their items, choose whether they wish other users to know if they’d be willing to sell or trade an item and gives users a basic platform through which to contact each other and ask questions. Any agreement between users to buy, sell or trade items is done so fully at their own risk and outside of Xpoit.com. In no way is Xpoit.com responsible or liable in the event of a trade or sale going wrong. We therefore encourage our users to ask questions and investigate each other before making arrangements in which items maybe traded, bought or sold and strongly recommend the use of other websites specifically set up for such a sale so as to safeguard both users in any event of such a trade or sale.

SPAM

Xpoit.com does not tolerate Spam, you are not authorised to use the Xpoit.com website to send unsolicited mail, Spam or Phising mail to any users and in the event of such usage your account will be terminated and where appropriate your details passed to the relevant authorities. In the event that you receive Spam or such messages via the Xpoit.com site please contact us immediately with full details of the message and user who sent it to you so we can investigate further.

CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

Xpoit.com reserve the right to change, amend or add to the Privacy Policy and/or User Agreement at any time and without notice. Xpoit.com may provide you with notices regarding the User Agreement and/or Privacy Policy but is under no obligation to do so in the event of these changing. Any changes will be posted in the appropriate User Agreement or Privacy Policy page on the Xpoit.com website.

If any changes to the Privacy Policy or User agreement are unacceptable to you and you disagree with such a change please refrain from using the Xpoit.com website and contact us so we can delete your account and content.
